An optical fiber connector is a flexible device that connects fiber cables requiring quick connection and disconnection, keeps the ends of the fibers properly aligned, allows the fiber receiver to get the maximum light from the launching fiber, and minimizes energy loss in the system because of the optical link intervention. This is the basic requirement for a fiber optic connector. To some extent, fiber optic connectors also affect the stability and performance of the fiber-optic transmission system.
