Gigabit Single-Mode SC Fiber Media Converter with PoE+ Injector – 20 KM, 1310 nm, 30 W PoE

This Gigabit Fiber Media Converter with integrated PoE/PoE+ injector combines fiber-to-Ethernet conversion and PoE power delivery in one compact device. It is designed to extend a Gigabit Ethernet connection over single-mode fiber up to 20 km (12.43 miles) while supplying up to 30 W of PoE power to a compatible network device through the RJ45 port.

The converter operates as PSE (Power Sourcing Equipment) and supports IEEE 802.3af PoE (up to 15.4 W) and IEEE 802.3at PoE+ (up to 30 W). This eliminates the need for a separate PoE injector or PoE switch at the remote fiber location, making it ideal for powering IP cameras, wireless access points, VoIP equipment, and other compatible PoE devices.

Long-Distance Fiber + PoE Solution

Standard copper Ethernet is generally limited to approximately 100 meters. This converter allows the network connection to be extended over single-mode SC fiber for distances up to 20 km, then converts the fiber connection back to Gigabit Ethernet while simultaneously providing PoE power to the connected device.

This makes it particularly useful when a network device needs to be installed far away from the main network infrastructure.

LFP & Jumbo Frame Support

Link Fault Propagation (LFP) helps ensure that a failure on the fiber side is reflected on the Ethernet side, allowing connected network equipment to recognize that the link has been interrupted instead of maintaining a misleading active Ethernet link.

The converter also supports Jumbo Ethernet frames and transparently passes VLAN-tagged traffic, making it suitable for many professional networking and surveillance installations.
